What the blend does for you
None of these is pure linen, and that is on purpose. The linen share sits between 17 and 20 percent, mixed with cotton, rayon or nylon and a little spandex. You get the dry, open feel of linen against your leg and much less of the deep creasing after an hour in a car seat. The drawstring styles tie at a high waist, and the pull-on style has a plain elastic band.
Linen blends give little at the hip, so if you are between sizes, choose the larger one and pull the drawstring in. Wash them cold and hang them to dry. A warm iron takes out the wrinkles that are left. The straight leg reads neater for an office in summer, and the wide leg and pleated styles belong on vacation.
